Located far from major urban centers and situated along the Continental Divide within the San Isabel National Forest, Monarch Mountain is less commercialized than other ski resorts in Colorado. Childcare, rentals and ski lessons are available, on site, while accommodations and apres ski activity are available in the nearby towns of Salida and Buena Vista.
