The Underhill Museum is a living museum that commemorates James and Lucy Underhill - two long-time residents of Idaho Springs beginning in 1897. Located in the couple's historic home, this museum showcases historic artifacts and also features a gift shop and information center. The museum is open daily during the summer for self-guided tours.

The Argo Gold Mine and Mill is a National Historic Site in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Educational adventure tours are provided at this mine, including a tour of a tunnel that was built in 1894 and was once considered the world's longest tunnel.
