The Heritage Museum & Visitor Center has a number of artifacts on display that relate the history of Idaho Springs. Indian artifacts, fire department equipment, mining tools and displays depicting life in this town during the gold mining era are among the museum's many exhibits.
The Underhill Museum is a living museum that commemorates James and Lucy Underhill - two long-time residents of Idaho Springs beginning in 1897. Located in the couple's historic home, this museum showcases historic artifacts and also features a gift shop and information center. The museum is open daily during the summer for self-guided tours.
